I got this message from one of the parents at Pike’s school today:
“Howdy!
Using my camera phone, I took the attached picture of Pike. Apparently, he was hungry and ate all of the blocks from the blocks center.

[Look closely at the size and shape of his belly]

A: “Pie is good stuff.”
P: ”I don’t know if I like that. I don’t like school pie.”
A: ”What kind of pie did you have at school?”
P: ”Egg pie. With vegetables in it.”
-Pike, he doesn’t like quiche, but he does like cherry cheese pie :)
“Wait! I want to tell you something. For my birthday, I want you to go to Target and get me something REALLY cool…” -Pike, to his friend’s mom when we ran into her in the parking lot at his school. Nice manners! (Angi)
“I don’t like this kid” -Tyler, referring to his doctor after she gave him the flu test. (Ginger)
“I don’t have time for ‘sshhhh’! I don’t have any time for that at all!” -Pike, on Saturday morning when I told him ‘Sshhhh, be quiet, Dad’s sleeping’. (Angi)
“[Oreo]‘ll be good to have around when Bizzy flies up. that’s what the kids call it….flying up.” -Kristi on Bismark’s death. (Angi)
” Bizzy is a Timex…she is still here.” -Kristi. Ha! she just wrote this to me. It reminds me of that guy in Parenthood when he’s talking about the Grandma (Angi)
“Ever had a germ pop out of your mouth when you cough and then pop right back in your ear?” -Pike, while discussing how germs work. (Angi)
“They’re just cool legs, mom.” -Pike, when he almost fell down but managed to stay on his feet. He was trying to explain how is legs saved him. (Angi)
“Mom, can you please turn the vacuum down!” -Jack. He was playing guitar hero at the time and apparently my vacuuming was interfering! (Leah)
“I’ll get him with actionally splats of power!” -Pike, while watching Meet the Robinson’s. He was ‘virtually’ fighting that dinosaur with them. (Angi)
“Dinosaurs who are carnivores eat only meat. Dinosaurs who are italiavores eat italian.” -Pike, discovering the difference between different ‘-vores’. (Angi)
“But I’m an omnivore. I can’t eat italian!” -Pike. His favorite reason to not eat something he doesn’t like now is to say ‘I can’t eat that, I’m an omnivore’. He’s still learning. (Angi)
